Mrs. Magdalena Kirsch is the vocal instructor, vocal coach and piano instructor at Motif Music Studio, West Carrollton.
With the end goal of teaching professionally, Mrs. Kirsch graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Wright State University. She also holds an Associate Degree in Music from Sinclair Community College where she also graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Mrs. Kirsch had the wonderful opportunity to sing professionally with Cincinnati’s own May Festival Chorus and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra for three full seasons before taking a break to marry her wonderful Husband. During this time, the May Festival Chorus made guest appearances for the Cincinnati Pops and the Cincinnati Opera.
In Dayton, she performed with MUSICA for their 2019 season before taking an short break in her performing career to have her beautiful Daughter.
Before following her career-long goal of teaching privately full time, Mrs. Kirsch held the position of Choir Director at Emanuel Lutheran Church for over three years.
At sixteen years of age, Mrs. Magdalena Kirsch started her teaching career teaching private violin lessons. After College, she accepted a teaching position at Star City Music Studios where she became their primary Vocal Instructor.
While a Faculty Member at Star City Music Studios, Mrs. Kirsch performed for numerous faculty recitals including a four-set recital of Spanish and Portuguese Art Songs with Mr. Evan Fiehrer (guitar) and Mr. Aaron Mood (piano). Mrs. Magdalena Kirsch and Mr. Evan Fiehrer (guitar) later performed two sets from this successful recital for the Dayton Music Club.
Mrs. Kirsch has, since then, become a Performing Member for the Dayton Music Club. As such, she has premiered two works by Dayton composers for their world premiers: "Sacrifice" by Rosanne Brown (2/19/2023) and "A Shipbuilder" by John Parcell (4/16/2023).
Mrs. Kirsch uses her performing experiences along with her 15 years of teaching experience to empower her students and to help them live out their musical goals.
In 2021, she was blessed with the opportunity to open her own private studio, Motif Music Studio, in West Carrollton, Ohio where she lives with her Husband and Daughter.
Every year since, Mrs. Magdalena Kirsch has written and produced narrated patriotic performances for Motif Music Studio. The music for these performances changes every year (as each performance is created to honor a different American historical event) and is a combination of researched works from the highlighted era and new compositions by Mrs. Magdalena Kirsch.
